External Research

The Bridge Initiative is a multi-year research project on Islamophobia housed in the Alwaleed Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding (ACMCU) in the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. Bridge disseminates original and accessible research, offers engaging analysis and commentary on contemporary issues, and hosts a wide repository of educational resources to inform policymakers, media and the general public about Islamophobia. We are active on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and have a combined following of over one million individuals from around the globe. Our website welcomes tens of thousands of viewers each month, and Bridge’s work and analysis has been cited in The Washington Post, New York Times, Guardian, Salon, among other leading media publications.

We are excited to announce that we are now accepting external research article submissions from academics and researchers around the globe. Generally, articles should focus on Islamophobia in the media, government, society, politics, etc. The analysis can focus on addressing anti-Muslim rhetoric, players, and policies that are prevalent in the world today. Historical analysis of Islamophobia in various contexts is also welcomed, and statistical analysis of hate crimes and impacts of discriminatory state policies on Muslims are highly encouraged.
